
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player, plays as a striker in the San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), which is the highest level of women's soccer in United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team from 2018 to 2020 with Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. [8][99 Morgan was selected by the Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her studies at Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. There, she made her debut in professional football and played in the team's win of the league championship. Morgan was 22 years old at the time, and was the youngest player on the national team for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team came in second. Morgan scored the game-winning goal in the semi-final match against Canada in the semi-final game at the 2012 London Olympics. She was then named U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of the Year and was also a FIFA World Player of the Year finalist. Morgan played a key role in helping the United States winning their titles during the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and 2019. She was selected for both the Dream Team for both tournaments.
