
Stevland Hardaway Morris (ne Judkins; May 13 1950) who is professionally referred to as Stevie Wonder, is an American musician and singer who is considered to be an influencer and pioneer by musicians across a range of genres such as blues and rhythm, pop, soul, gospel, jazz, and funk. Wonder was a solo artist made use of synthesizers to produce electronic music during the 1970s. This revolutionized the R&B genre. Wonder was also instrumental in the growth of genres in the era of albums. His albums were consistent and cohesive as well as conscious social statements that contained complex compositions. Blind shortly after his birth, Wonder was a child prodigy, who signed with Motown's Tamla label at the age of 11, where he was given the professional name Little Stevie Wonder.
