Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actress best recognized for her roles in films on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is a producer and actress working in theater, film and television. Her acting journey began as a theater actress and then appeared in a number of television series as well as mainstream and independent films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. In the BET's huge show The Book of Negroes she was a character. The actress did not just receive critical acclaim in her character but was also awarded and nominations. Her first professional performance was as Ariel in The Tempest. Her credits on stage include the Broadway productions of Joe's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Film-wise, she's best known for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. She is also well-known for her work on the crime drama series on ABC, High Incident.
